| Pamela Koffler has been co-president of Killer
Films since its conception in 1996. The first project under the Killer
Films banner she produced was Cindy Sherman’s directorial debut, Office
Killer, a send-up of the horror genre starring Carol Kane, Molly Ringwald
and Jeanne Tripplehorn. Following was I’m Losing You, Bruce Wagner’s
directorial debut from his best selling novel, starring Rosanna Arquette,
Frank Langella and Andrew McCarthy and most recently, Crime + Punishment
in Suburbia, written by Larry Gross and directed by Rob Schmidt, starring
Monica Keena, Vincent Kartheiser, Jeffrey Wright and Ellen Barkin. Koffler
executive produced the award-winning Boys Don’t Cry, directed by Kimberly
Peirce and starring Hilary Swank and Chloe Sevigny and was the production
executive on Todd Haynes’ Velvet Goldmine, which won Haynes a Special
Jury Award for Artistic Contribution at Cannes and received an Academy
Award nomination for Best Costume Design. She also was the line producer
for such films Larry Clark’s Kids, Nigel Finch’s Stonewall, Mary Harron’s
I Shot Andy Warhol, starring Lili Taylor, Jared Harris and Stephen Dorff
and Todd Solondz’s Happiness, which had its world premiere in the Director’s
Fortnight and unanimously won the prestigious Fipresci Critic’s Prize
at Cannes in 1998. Upcoming projects for Koffler include Series 7, directed by Dan Minahan, One Hour Photo, which will mark Mark Romanek’s feature film directorial debut and Tim Blake’s Grey Zone, starring Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Natasha Lyonne and Mira Sorvino. Based on Nelson’s Obie Award-winning off-Broadway play, this powerful drama is partially based on Miklos Nyiszli’s non-fiction book, ‘Auschwitz: A Doctor’s Eye Witness Account.’
